2010 Regionals Volunteer Registration
Volunteer!
Introduction
Thank you for volunteering to assist with the 2010 US Youth Soccer Regional Championships! The tournament will be held in Baton Rouge on June 17th - June 23rd and we hope to showcase Baton Rouge as the premier location for this amazing tournament. Ultimately, however, the success of the tournament lies with volunteers such as yourself who generously donate their time and efforts for the betterment of the game we love.
This volunteer registration wizard will gather your contact information and allow you to select both the activities that you would wish to do as a volunteer as well as the times that you are available. Review & Select Volunteer Jobs
Please select the activities / job for which you would like to volunteer. You will then be able to view the dates and times that are needed to be filled.
Awards
Help sort and hand out awards to the winning teams.
Ball Boys
We are looking for boys and girls as ball handlers during the semi-final and final games. Must be a minimum of 11 years old. Your child will be kept hydrated and fed for the day. We will also be supplying a regional t-shirt.
Blogger
Take shifts working on a 2010 Regional Blog throughout the tournament.
College Coaches
Entertain College coaches from across the country - Put out food for the coaches.
Field Marshalls
An experienced Krewe of volunteers that love the game of soccer. These individuals will be responsible for keeping games running on time, monitoring player benches, assisting referees when necessary, and notifying medical when needed.
Field Ops & Tent Set Up
Assist with field preparation prior to the event and during the event. This requires heavier lifting.
FM Communication Updates
Must not be shy when speaking into a communication devise. Updates with regards to scores, weather and any other pertenant to be broadcasted during the tournament hours.
General Volunteer
A must for any successful tournament. You must be willing to wear multiple hats throughout the day and be the most flexible.
Golf Cart Driver
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Goody Bag Assembly
Must be task oriented and organized.
Hospitality
Assist with light meals for all areas of the tournament. (Referees, Volunteers, VIP's, College Coaches, etc) Entertain all of our guests and must have a fun loving attitude.
Hydration Team
Requires heavy lifting and lots of running around on golf carts delivering water and gatorade to all the player benches.
Opening Ceremonies
Serve as an usher during the Opening Ceremonies and aid in take-down post ceremonies.

Parking Attendants
Greet guests daily, collect money, assist with directions and check parking passes.
Publications
Assist with articles for newspaper, work on tournament programs, and general publicity items.
Referee Volunteers
Volunteers needed to help with the referees.
Registration
Experienced Team Managers and previous experience with registration required. This is a very important position and critical to the beginnings of a great tournament.
Takedown Team
All tents and areas must be taken down.
